A tutu wearing black belt author, this is Kate Perry. The design of this site really did a great job giving an online personality to this author. Connecting Kate Perry with her fans and readers was a core goal of this site from the beginning. Making it easier for fans to keep up to date with Kate and Kate hear from fans was something we wanted to make easy and dynamic for both users.
There is a lot for the user to do when they come to this site. We wanted to make it easy on the home page to kind of get a quick glimpse of the important information. Things like the authors recent book, latest tweets, and an easy way to sign up for the newsletter. During development we made it really easy to tie in to native WordPress functionality to make editing menus, pages, and posting very easy for this busy author.
